We seldom send our customers emails. We guard your privacy. But, as we continue to monitor developments regarding this pandemic, and the actions the governments are taking, the Geeks at Work and Computer Tamers recognize that some of our customers may be negatively affected by impacts of this situation. Technology and computers are so important for businesses, and for average Americans. Information dependency and Internet connectivity are required by everyone today to navigate even the basics of life. From banking to entertainment, connectivity with properly functioning devices is essential.

We Tamers hope you have prepared for the worst, and that nothing serious or harmful takes place. If events that have already taken place elsewhere in the world, come to those of us living in the High Country, we want our neighbors to be ready and prepared.

We want you to know that we are ready and able to serve your needs, and help you when it comes to technology, and making sure your devices are working at peak capacity and reliability.

In addition, we have always, at Computer Tamers considered the importance of safe and healthy computing, to be the highest priority. As you may know, we clean all devices that come to us prior to diagnosing and working on them. We keep a clean and organized operation room, where we service these devices. This is our S.O.P.

You need to know, that with this current emphasis of stopping the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, we have raised our level of cleanliness to the highest level. We are well aware of the risks associated with this virus, and we want you all to be assured that we are taking action in our facility to protect our employees and customers against it!

Here are some of the measures we are taking, to ensure the safety of everyone who walks through our doors:

1. The reception, café, service areas, meeting areas, and rest rooms are professionally cleaned on a weekly basis, to prevent the accumulation of germs and bacteria on the floors, counters, desks, etc.

2. We are wiping down and disinfecting all light switches, doorknobs, tabletops, counters, etc. on a daily basis. Anything that is commonly touched will be safe to the touch throughout our facility.

3. Our staff are cleaning their hands often throughout the day and using hand sanitizers as needed.

4. Every device that comes into our shop for service is cleaned and sanitized for the safety of our professional staff, and those of you who will be taking their computer home to enjoy happy computing.

Your visit with us will be safe and clean as possible. You can depend on that.

Of course, we encourage everyone to concentrate on the basic and simple things they can do, to prevent infection of themselves and of others.

God forbid, if things get worse and travel is limited, we are confident that our technicians, who already serve businesses that provide essential services to the public, will have government permission to travel. Even so, we can often do device repair remotely at your business and/or home. We service computers and networks, for businesses and regular people, from Alaska to Florida, and from Connecticut and Massachusetts to Texas, Nevada and Washington, including most of the retail and banking outlets in our surrounding area. We can and have done major computer and server installs remotely and successfully, saving our customers time and money. We can do it for you, right here at home. A major part of our work is caring for our loyal and local friends, who come to us for help and repair. So, if you have concerns about going out in public, consider, calling us for a remote diagnosis, and repair, and keep your device and yourself safe at home or at your place of work.

We have you covered and promise to continue to provide you with the best quality of service, even during these difficult times.

Geeks at Work / Computer Tamers is considered an Essential Business in order to support the Department of Homeland Security’s Guidance issued on March 19th, 2020, which is to maintain the critical infrastructure of information technology.  All of our technicians/drivers will be carrying this Travel Letter.

Out of abundance of caution and to do our part in social distancing, we are temporarily limiting our walk-in hours to the public between 10am – 4pm, Monday thru Friday.  We are available via appointment during non-public hours.  Thank you.
